Production Meeting Reflection 1

The production meeting was run by having the media class sat around the table discussing our ideas. In this discuss we had to explain what our ideas were about and what we had mentioned in the pitch. At the beginning of the discussion our group did not interact much as we were not sure on what we were suppose to do. Whether we was suppose to talk about our ideas or members within our group. Once the misunderstanding cleared we all manages to explain our ideas in enough detail to receive response on what our group thought was best about our work and what they thought had to be changed.

The groups response to my idea was the USP was liked. The group liked the idea of having a guest showing a unique talent. I also explained how the guest can show a unique talent, for example Taylor was part of the music video we had chosen so if Taylor was the guest she could show how she did the weird back bend which she did in the music video. i felt this USP was interesting and unique. Another thing which my classes liked was one of my games. The game which my class liked was 'guess the lyrics' which was a game where the guest has to sing the remaining part of the lyrics.

I voted for Jadas idea. The reason for this was because, i very much liked her idea and there were many aspects of her show which i liked and this included the games, etc. The name which Jada had chosen was also liked and preferred by the class. I also thought the name 'The beat' is interesting and unique as its to do with music which is also an advantage.

The aspect of having the game who wore it better in a music magazine show was interesting. This will allow the audience to interact with the ideas. The audience can interact with this game as its to do with the views of other people. This will allow the show to be interactive and appealing to the audience.

 

The area which i felt needed developement was the USP. I felt there was not a unique selling point which will allow the audience to interact with the show. The show would not have something which will allow the audience to interact and connect with the show. 

Some of the ideas i felt which could be part of the final idea were some of the games. For example one of the students decided to do 'sing the missing lyrics' which i felt was a good game and the audience cud also get involved. Also the idea of having a twitter account which will allow audience at home to interact and get involved. I also feel my USP of the guest showing a unqiue talent would be interesting as it would be different. There are many aspects as mentioned which can be incorporated within the show.
